Bathroom destruction

So it was finally time to tackle the bathroom or at least thats what OH said. First job was to try and do something with the ceiling so I got some new plasterboard and we set about overboarding it. first time I've tried anything on the ceiling I was quite pleased with the result. Not sure how level it is but that was governed by the existing ceiling.

Due to previous leaks the plaster behind the bath wasn't in that good a state so we decided to remove the bath so we could try and make good some of the damage and also get access to the worst parts of the floor. This is what we were greeted with when the bath came out:

Next job was to get up the floorboards and replace the damaged joist. this is what it looked like before:

After our slight mishap with the plumbing we finally managed to get the new ply cut to shape and notched round the pipework, most which will be reused with the new suite. We cut the hole for the soil pipe to suit the new toilet and hence the old one doesn't quite go back in place (its abuot 3 inches out from the wall!) so we decided not to modify the pipework and live with a slightly more manual flushing system :)
